Diplo Recruits Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel for New Song and Video “Wasted”

Diplo’s latest song, per the producer and DJ’s own words, marks “the next chapter of Thomas Wesley.” The track, titled “Wasted,” sees Diplo enlisting Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel for a rumination on the ups and downs of intoxication atop a foundation that’s equal parts rock and country. According to Diplo, the song began during sessions in Miami with Kodak, specifically an iPhone recording of him singing what became “Wasted” while he “batted a beat on his chest.” From there, Diplo says he built the beat out from that iPhone capture, later bringing in Wetzel to finish the song.
